We are currently undertaking works in the Building and Property Development sector, at Shipton House in Bethnal Green, London. This is a regeneration project for Peabody Homes on behalf of Wates Living Space to rejuvenate and renew the estate and surrounding area. The works include drainage systems, installation of playgrounds, refurbishment works on current buildings and hard & soft landscaping. This project is a detailed build and the hard & soft landscaping has a high-end specification, using top quality materials and supplies. Among the long list of specific tasks on this project are, balcony detailing, brick paving, and Natratex (bonded materials). During this build we have also been faced with contamination issues which have been dealt with, isolated and capped.

For Bolney Meadow we were working with Wates Living Space. The project began with demolition work to an unused space, which would be transformed into a community centre, including a children’s play area and basketball courts. Once the brick walls had been removed and disposed of, the vegetation cleared and grounds dug down to a pre-determined level we were then able to excavate trenches to begin installing the drainage systems. The drainage was then connected to the mains, allowing us to then to begin digging the footings and laying the foundations for the community centre. A Jet Floor system was then introduced to effectively insulate the overall floor zone which enabled the remaining construction work to be done, to be completed more swiftly.
Once the building work had been finished we then began work on the hard and soft landscaping, building new planters, relaying the patios and paving, as well as installing bollards and fences around the areas. The Fencing and ground surfaces were then completed to the client’s specification. Tarmac was used for the Basketball court and Crumb Rubber for the children’s playground to ensure safe play for the children.
Work is still being completed at Bolney Meadow to improve the area including the installation of concrete lift shafts, resurfacing of roads and the reformation of kerbs and other ground works.

For this project we were working on behalf of Wates Living Space. We were contracted to complete hard and soft landscaping works for the newly built housing, and to also install the drainage facilities using ACO drainage. As the build was on two levels, above a car park, we had to use specialist materials to guide the water away from the site in a different way to prevent flooding in the car park underneath. The hard landscaping we completed included pavement slabs, building brick planters, brick walls, tarmacing, and completed the road markings for the car park below. We also installed external metal staircases with handrails finished with concrete and anti-skid surfacing on each step. Our soft landscaping included top-soiling, grass seeding and planting with wood mulch. As it was on two levels, access to the works was difficult and so we had to be inventive with the ways in which we brought materials to and from the site.
Working on behalf of Murphy Limited, Longreach was a UK Power Networks Project. We were upgrading the supply from substation to southern water treatment plant in Dartford, these works included, the installation of two 30,000 volt (KV) cables along with the pilot cables. These works also incorporated the decommissioning of two smaller substations and diverting the existing cables back into the main switch room. This was a complicated project because of the amount of live High Voltage cables coming from the existing substation, and required careful organisation, planning and back up procedures in case there were any difficulties or complications that arose.
